After spending MANY hours today trying to find out HOW to "import" my Quicken 2015 files (windows 7) into the Canadian version of Quickbooks Pro 2020 desktop, I have DISCOVERED (directly contradicting information I was given by the Intuit distributor Saas Direct Canada) that I CANNOT do so since the Canadian version of Quickbooks DOES NOT provide the "convert" option under Utilities that the (evidently) US version has.
But, rather than throw in the towel so soon, I am trying to find ANY 3rd party utility/product/service which can perform the conversion. I have, of course, already run the converter utility provided by Quicken to generate the appropriate QDF files but without the "convert" utility of Quickbooks, that step was a total waste of time.
So ... PLEASE!! ... if anyone can recommend or suggest a 3rd party app, I greatly appreciate it!
Hi dr_mumps,
Having the proper migration tool to assist you to convert from one software to another ensures you don't have to start all over from scratch. I'll be happy to point you in the right direction with this.
It's always a great idea to try using third-party apps when facing certain limitations with softwares. You can explore available third party apps compatible to QuickBooks Desktop here: QuickBooks Desktop Apps
All the best to you!
Company only provides the conversion utility from Quicken to QBD US version. You may have 2 options:
1. Export your data out to XLS from Quicken and utilize one of these 3rd party importer tools.
