Creating an additional column(s) to an invoice's table/billables section

Hi Everyone

First off I just want to apologise in advance if this has already been asked and answered/resolved, I've looked through the Community discussions but couldn't find anything that addresses this specific issue.

I need to add an extra column to a client's invoice table wherein they can add specific codes for the products/services they render,  I've considered using the SKU column but the problem is that these codes change from customer to customer, and when you change the value assigned to SKU this would obviously change the values in any invoices prior to the change.  Is there a way that an additional column can be added to my client's invoicing to allow this? If not, is there a way to import a customised invoice template to Quickbooks online which can be used to fulfill their specific needs?

Your questions are always welcome here, Eugene Pieterse.

You can use the Description column or Notes field to enter the specific code per customer while the option to add or import a column is unavailable. No worries, I've already taken note of this suggestion and I'd recommend submitting feedback as well. Let me show you:

  1. Log in to your QuickBooks Online Accountant account.
  2. Click the Gear icon at the upper-right and select Feedback.
  3. Enter a brief description of your feedback and then Next.

Hi Catherine

Thanks for your reply

So at this point in time what we need isn't an existing feature in QBO.  I guess that's understandable but hopefully at some point in the near future it can get implemented. I will however follow your advice and leaving it as feedback and try my luck with the custom form styles
