Customer Invoice Size Limit in QBO

HI! Does anyone know if there is a limit to the number of line items you can add when creating a customer invoice in QBO plus? We list and bill for each part individually and have a project that looks to be 5 (or 6) pages worth of parts/materials. Some of the items could be combined to eliminate some lines, but that's not our practice. Just don't want to enter all the parts as normal only to have size/length issues when trying to save the invoice at the end.

Thanks in advance for any insight!

Customer Invoice Size Limit in QBO

Glad to see you here in the Community, @Teesa66.

I'm here to share some information about how invoices work in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

QuickBooks Online doesn't have a limit on customer entries and transactions. The program can support as many line items on a sales form. However, there are chances that you'll experience minor performance issues as the number of lines increases.

To avoid this error, I'd recommend splitting it into multiple transactions. This way, the QuickBooks can easily load/send your invoices and help keep the program running at peak performance when we're processing a large volume of transactions.

Also, there are various things you can do to ensure that you'll get the most out of your QuickBooks experience. Please check the pointers below:

  • Ensure your web browser is up to date.
  • Check to see if there are critical performance updates for your operating system.
  • Run an internet speed test.

For more resources, you can also visit our Frequently Asked Questions page about technical limits, file sizes, transaction volumes, and data entry.

Please let me know if you have other questions. I'm always happy to help. Take care!

Customer Invoice Size Limit in QBO

@Maybelle_S

Thanks for the quick response! I'll keep your suggestions in mind. Unfortunately, when working with small, local governments, we can only submit one invoice per PO issued. Luckily, we don't generate invoices of this size often. If we start experiencing issues with these larger invoices, we'll look at combining line items.

Thanks again for the response!

Customer Invoice Size Limit in QBO

What kind of a ridiculous sales answer is that?

Is there a limit on the number of pages on the invoice from Quickbooks Online? Yes/ NO?

How many pages are sent when we send the invoice via quickbooks online?

Thanks

Customer Invoice Size Limit in QBO

Hello, ARVIND_HANDUU.

Let me share some insights about limits in sending invoices.

There is no limit of items that you can send per customer, meaning there is no limit of pages that you can send. It only depends on how many items to send.
