Let‘s get the Dashboard to show in your account by refreshing the application. The steps vary depending on the version you’re using.
For QuickBooks Mac app:
Right-click the app icon and quit.
Launch the application while holding the Function (fn) key and open QBO again.
Once you receive a prompt to reset QuickBooks, click the Reset button.
Follow the on-screen instructions and then relaunch the application.
QuickBooks Windows app:
Hold down the Shift key and open QuickBooks at the same time.
Continue to hold down the Shift key until the program opens up.
If you continue to get the same result, let's uninstall and then reinstall the application to start on a clean slate. To remove it, click on this link and go directly to the How do I uninstall the app section.
Once done, please visit this site: http://quickbooks.intuit.com/apps/. Next, go to the Get the QuickBooks Mac or Windows App section and then hit the Free Download button.
Another page opens, scroll down to choose the Download Now menu. Double-click on the file to launch the installer and then follow the instructions to finish the installation.
