Downgraded - How do I inactivate an old client on a recurring template?

I downgraded from Essentials to Simple Start.

I am trying to archive/make inactive a very old client who was once on a recurring template (about 3 years ago).  They were the only client on that template.  Now, I can't inactivate this client nor can I get into the Recurring Transactions section on this lower plan to remove this client from it.

Any ideas? Thanks!

Let's get your old client inactivated so you can get back to working order, @RHerman8283.

Since the Simple Start plan of QuickBooks Online (QBO) doesn't have a recurring feature, you won't be able to inactivate a client associated with a recurring transaction. You can consider upgrading your QBO plan to Essentials temporarily to remove the client from the recurring template. Once done, you can now remove your client from the recurring transaction. Here's how:

  1. Click the Gear icon, then select Recurring Transactions.
  2. Find and open the recurring template. Then, remove your client.

You can also delete the recurring template to remove the client completely from it. After doing it, you can now inactivate your client.

Then, proceed with downgrading your QBO plan to Simple Start again.

Please know that I'm just a reply away if you need any further assistance making a client inactive. Have a good one.
