Due date and ship date on estimate

My estimates calculate a due date from the date of the invoice which is correct however i also need my estimates to have a ship date. How do I add that on the Estimate template as well?

Due date and ship date on estimate

Hi there, DavinaRL. I'll help add a column for ship dates to your estimates.

You can customize form templates in QuickBooks Desktop and add an additional section to them if needed. In this case, you'll want to locate, access, then edit the estimate template. Here's how:
1. In the menu bar at the top, go to Lists.
2. Choose Templates.
3. Double-click the one you'd like to alter.
4. Hit Additional Customization....
5. Open the Columns tab.
6. In the list of available columns, use either Other 1 or Other 2 and title the new column you're creating in the Title field.
7. Tick both of the checkboxes for Screen and Print next to the one you chose to use.
8. Select OK to save your changes.
9. Click OK on the Basic Customization window to finish. The Templates window you originally opened from the Lists drop-down menu can be closed after you've completed your updates.

Now estimates will have an area specifically for displaying ship dates.

Due date and ship date on estimate

And if you want both the Due Date and Ship Date to be calculated automatically (based on an Estimate Date or Invoice Date), you can do that with a 3rd party calculation add-on, like the FormCalc SST for QuickBooks product. I know it can calculate customer text messages to appear on an Estimate or Invoice, such as various dates, or an "available discount if paid by..." date and amount.

Google it if you want to find out more about it.
