Duplicate estimate numbers

I'm using QB Enterprise 2019 Manufacturing versions .. is there a way to keep the program form assigning duplicate Estimate/Quote numbers?  I have several instances where the same Estimate number is assigned to 2 different estimates on the same day.  I have multiple users that are in the system at the same time.  I know that there is a check box in preferences that warns about duplicate "invoice" numbers, but do not see this same option for Estimates or Sales Orders.

I can help you keep QuickBooks from assigning duplicate estimate or sales order numbers.

Same with invoices, there's an option that warns a user of duplicate estimate and sales order numbers. I’m adding the steps below on how to set this in the Company Preferences for both transactions.

Estimates:

  1. Go to Edit menu and select Preferences.
  2. Choose Jobs & Estimates and click Company Preferences.
  3. At the bottom of the Preferences window, select Warn about duplicate estimate numbers.
  4. Hit OK to save the changes.

Sales Orders:

  1. Go to Edit menu and select Preferences.
  2. Choose Sales & Customers and click Company Preferences.
  3. On the Sales Orders section, select Warn about duplicate Sales Order numbers.
  4. Hit OK.
