Editing Icons on Home Page in QuickBooks Desktop for Mac

How do I edit the icons that appear on the Home Page/Work Flow Chart screen in QBD for Mac?  For instance, my client does not use accounts receivable, sales tax, or payroll, so does not need all the icons related to those features showing up on her Home screen.  In the PC version, I can just go to Preferences and uncheck the features I don't use, and the icon goes away on the Home screen.  I can't figure out how to do this in the Mac version.

At this time, there's no way to edit the icons on the Home page in QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) for Mac. I can see how the feature you're looking for is beneficial to your business. I recommend leaving feedback for our Product Developers. 

 

Here's how:

  1. Go to the Help menu at the top.
  2. Select Send Feedback Online.
  3. Click Product Suggestion.
  4. Choose a feedback type and product area on the QuickBooks Feedback window. 
  5. Enter your suggestion or feedback, name, and email address (optional).
  6. Once done, click on the Send Feedback button.

Our developers periodically update and release new features. They might change how this works in the future. To be updated with our latest news and updates, including product improvements, I encourage you to visit the What's New section on your QBDT account or open this link to view our product update blogs.
