Email invoices using gmail

All of a sudden I get an error message when trying to email invoices using gmail - it keeps saying incorrect password - Please help

I've checked our records, Debbie C. I haven't seen any open cases the same as yours.

 

I'll help you resolve this unexpected behavior. First, let's get the QuickBooks latest release. It'll help you download the new updates and critical fixes.

 

Next, let's run the Verify/Rebuild tool to detect if it's data damage. Here's how:

  1. Click File.
  2. Go to Utilities, then choose Verify Data.
  3. If QuickBooks detected no problems, there's no further action needed. If you receive a message, "Your data has lost integrity," the file is damaged. Just continue to Rebuild Data to correct the problem.
  4. When you Rebuild Data, you'll receive a message to back up your company file, click OK. The utility starts as soon as the backup is finished.
  5. Click OK when you get the message "Rebuild has completed."
  6. Run Verify Data again to check for remaining data damage.

Once done, please try to email the invoices again.

 

If it didn't make any difference, use the QuickBooks File Doctor to fix the company file.

Good morning, tried updating quickbooks last night and getting error issues and tried rebuilding data and then it deleted my 2 companies I have in quickbooks - I was able to restore back up but I still can not update quickbooks

I'll make sure you can update QuickBooks Desktop, @Debbie C.

 

First, there are lots of reasons why you're unable to update QuickBooks. These are the following:

 

  • Possible program files damage.
  • QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) isn't run as an administrator.
  • Incorrect system date or time on your computer.
  • Internet or firewall issues.
  • Multiple installations of QBDT of the same version year on the same computer.

I know the fixes needed to get you going. To start, let's run the QuickBooks Tool Hub to resolve errors. Before you begin, make sure to close QBDT.

 

Here's how to download and run the tool hub:

 

  1. Download the most recent version (1.4.0.0) of the QuickBooks Tool Hub
  2. Open the file you downloaded (QuickBooksToolHub.exe), and then follow the on-screen prompts to install it.
  3. After that, open the tool hub, and then go to the Program Problems tab.
  4. Select Quick Fix my Program.

Once done, reopen QuickBooks and your company file. This time, please ensure to run QBDT as an administrator. To do that, right-click on the QuickBooks icon, and then select Run as administrator.

 

Then, download and install the updates again. If it doesn't make a difference, please see this article for more troubleshooting steps: Fix error when updating QuickBooks Desktop.

Thank you got QB to update but I still get not email invoices through gmail - still getting error say password is incorrect which is not - Would like to fix bc then I can see that invoices were emailed

Hi there, @Debbie C.

 

Thank you for providing details on the error message that you get when you try to authorize webmail on your computer.

 

The error message you stated is from Google Chrome itself. As stated, you can try to enable Less secure app access. You do this so Google will allow the connection with QuickBooks.

I don't have any of these errors - it is saying my password is incorrect - which it is not

I'll point you in the right direction, so you're able to send invoices to your customers using Gmail in QuickBooks Desktop.

 

Since the steps provided by my colleagues above didn't fix the problem, I'd suggest communicating with our Customer Care Team. They have tools to access your account in a safe environment and investigate the root cause of the problem. 

 

Here's how: 

 

  1. Go to this link: https://help.quickbooks.intuit.com/prechats/offerings/QB-Desktop-ProPremier-CHAT/22240/view. 
  2. Complete the required information. 
  3. Hit Submit.

 

Ensure to call them within business hours to address your problem on time.

To ensure that this issue gets resolved, I recommend contacting our Customer Care Team since none of the solutions above works for you. They have the tools available to securely remote into your computer. This way, they can investigate the matter further, including the installation and dictionary concern that you have.

1. Open QuickBooks. 

2. From the Help menu, choose QuickBooks Desktop Help

 

 

3. Type Contact Us in the search box. Then, click on Contact Us at the bottom. 

 

 

4. Select the way you wish to connect with support (Chat, Call back, Etc.).
