Enforce Getting Receipts from Clients

I wanted to gather a poll of the number of accounting practices that enforce receiving all the receipts from their clients and match them to each item in the bank statement?

 

Or since it’s the clients responsibility if they are audited you only go so far with the request and leave it alone or let those clients go if they can’t produce the receipts.  

I’ve struggled with this and wanted to learn how other practices address this matter?   I appreciate any insight.

Enforce Getting Receipts from Clients

Hi @perezgoreeii,

 

I'll share some information about matching your uploaded receipts. You'll want to use the Receipts tab on the Banking page so you can match your uploaded receipts with your bank statement.

 

Here's how to do it:

  1. Upload receipts or bills from your computer or Google Drive.
  2. Review, add or match receipts and bills.

  3. If QuickBooks can’t find an existing transaction that matches, you can create a new transaction from your receipt or bill by clicking Create bill or Create expense.
