Enhanced Inventory

We are currently using Quickbooks Enterprise desktop version.  A former accountant turned on Enhanced Inventory before he quit.  We do not like it and want to get rid of it.  We will soon be converting to Quickbooks online.  At that point, can we convert everything to online except that?

Do you mean Advanced Inventory?

If you are enabled it, consider downgrade your company file and open it on the trial license of QBD Pro prior to migrating to QB Online.

No - it's Enhanced Inventory Receiving (EIR).  It has been a nightmare for us since he installed it.  You cannot turn it off once you turn it on.

I'm hoping we don't have to have that if we convert from desktop to online

The inventory management feature in QBO is limited. You may consider downgrading your company file to QBD Pro edition to simplify it prior to migrating to QBO as I mentioned earlier. Once you have migrated to QBO, you may consider having an inventory management app with more features later (e.g sales order, multi warehouse, B2B portal, multi pricelist, etc)
