error 3371 status code 11104

Quikbooks Pro 2018 opened last Friday.  Today it will not open.  just pops up this error.

Thank you for reaching out to us. Let's work together in resolving the error 3371 status code 11104 you're getting.

 

The Error 3371 is caused by a damaged/missing component or an outdated Windows operating system. To resolve this, make sure to update your Windows. An outdated operating system can damage your QuickBooks Desktop company file.

 

Here are the steps:

  1. Click the Windows logo.
  2. Select All Programs and click Windows Update.
  3. Restart your computer for changes to take effect.

You should be able to open your QuickBooks after that, @repareme.

 

Otherwise, there are more steps detailed in the following articles. I suggest performing them in the order shown. If the first solution fixes the problem, you don't need to proceed with other steps.

thank you HoneyLynn_G for responding. the workaround links you
suggested are all ineffective. Running Windows 10 home w/installed
Updates current, Quickbooks 2018 Pro cannot find it's own license
files that were entered when installed April of 2018. opening the
program suddenly stopped working for no reason I could find. Ran
diagnostic QBInstall
which claimed Quickbooks would now start. NOT! Tried to run repair
from control panel/programs but repair program stopped midway with
error codes -6000 -77, then rolled back repair process. Tried to run
uninstall of QBooks, same error codes and roll back of uninstall
proceedure process. VERY Frustrating!
Thanks again for looking into this.  Deleting the eds.ecml file had no effect.

Welcome to the Community. Allow me to step in and assist you with the error you -6000, -77 you encounter in QuickBooks Desktop.

 

Since you've already tried using the QuickBooks File Doctor to fix the issue, you can proceed with renaming ND and TLG files. For the detailed steps, you can visit the article I'm adding down below (scroll down to Solution 2):

If the problem persists, I recommend following the remaining solutions in the order shown in the article above. If all fails, please proceed with reaching out to our Support Specialists.

Thanks for the response!  I tried all the suggestion on your link, and none of them would let QBooks start.  Could it be that QuickBooks 2018 is not compatible with Windows 10 Home edition?

Still getting 3371 status code -11104.  Would send pic of desktop error but they keep getting bumped back to my emailbox.

QuickBooks 2018  is compatible with Windows 10. Please see this article about the system requirements for QuickBooks 2018 and Enterprise Solutions 18.0.

 

Since you can't still open QuickBooks after trying out all the steps, please contact our QuickBooks Desktop Customer Care team. They will investigate this a little further to check what's causing the issue and give you additional steps to try on.

  1. Click the Continue as a guest button
  2. Select your QuickBooks Desktop version.
  3. Click the Search for something else button.
