Error in processing data

I'm trying to import me company file from QBTD to QBO. When following the steps I get the error message "Error: Error in processing data". My desktop version is the latest available. All help articles seem to be for more specific error messages.

Error in processing data

Do you need to migrate data from QBD 2021 US version to QBO US version? Make sure your Total Targets < 350K. Otherwise, run the Condense Data utility to downsize the file prior to migrating to QBO.

Error in processing data

Thanks for making it here, dos2manos.

Let's get rid of the error in processing data so you can convert your QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) file to QuickBooks Online (QBO) successfully.

The error message you're getting can be fixed by updating your QuickBooks software to the latest release. Below are the steps on how to manually update it:

  1. Go to the Help menu.
  2. Select Update QuickBooks Desktop.
  3. Click the Options tab.
  4. Select Mark All and then click Save.

  5. Go to the Update Now tab.
