When I go to make a backup, my client receives an error message. I have to run a rebuild. After running the rebuild, it states that "error (payroll) 131" could not be fixed. It then says to verify Payroll item: Invalid tax authority. Rcrd = 15. Ref = 823.

I have reviewed the payroll item to make sure that it looks set up correctly. There is only one employee that was set up for Child Support. So I am not sure why the error came up??? It appears that the record is ok. I am at a loss as to why this error message came up.

Okay, what I just did to fix mine was to print a Payroll item list. I saw that the 2 items the error listed were missing the Paid to Name. I added the names. Then I made a backup of company. when it completed, I restored the file I just backed up and it restored with no errors. Hope this helps.
