Error when exporting changes for client

I am receiving an error "QB is unable to display the accountant's changes".  I have converted the file and reentered the changes twice and still get the same message.  I created JE to adj A/R.  I was able to export the changes until I used the tool to apply the credit/debits in the customer records.  Wondering why that is causing an issure.  Using QB 2016

Re: Error when exporting changes for client

Hey @Baffled1,

I appreciate your effort in re-converting and re-entering the changes in the Accountant's Copy.

The error you're receiving is sometimes caused when you have special characters in your Chart of Accounts (COA). But don't worry, you can fix this error by following a few steps.

Special characters in the COA include:

  • < - Less than
  • > - Greater than
  • & - Ampersand
  • ' - Apostrophe
  • " - Quotation mark

To remove these special characters, you can follow the steps below:

  1. Open the company file.
  2. Click on Lists from the menu bar.
  3. Choose Chart of Accounts.
  4. Locate and right-click the account, then select Edit Account.
  5. Make the necessary changes.
  6. Click on Save & Close.

I've attached an article here for more information.
