Yesterday I started getting this error when trying to launch QB desktop. So far I have: Tried to run the .exe directly (same error) Run a repair from the CD Uninstalled and reinstalled QB2017 Disabled antivirus None of this worked. I also installed QB on another PC and it worked fine. How do I get it to start working again? I'm on Win10 and the latest version of QB 2017.
Once done, open the program. If you continue to get the same result, I recommend uninstalling QuickBooks and use Super Clean Install to completely remove the software from your computer and start fresh.
Before doing so, make sure to close all unnecessary programs running in the background. Simply press Ctrl + Alt + Delete and end all processes such as QBCFMonitorService, QBDBMgr, QBDBMgrN, QBPESEVNT08R, QBW32, and QBWebConnector.
Thanks for the reply. I did all of the above, reinstalled and re-entered the license key after clearing the registry, and I still get the same error when trying to launch it. Also, your link to Solutions for when QuickBooks stops working doesn't lead to anywhere.
