How do I view a list of expense categories and how do I delete some duplicate categories I erroneously entered?

Let me help you view and delete duplicate expenses in QuickBooks Online (QBO), leatherman.

 

To view the list of expense categories, we can go to the Expense Transaction Lists page. Let me show you how:

  1. Go to Expenses on the left side menu and choose Expenses
  2. Tick the Filter drop-down and select the Type, Category, Status, Date of the expenses. 
  3. Press Apply.

You can also review your expense transaction directly from your account register. This way, we can identify duplicate transactions. Here's how: 

  1. Go to Accounting.
  2. Select Chart of Accounts.
  3. Find your bank or credit card account.
  4. Under ACTION, select View register.
  5. review and open each of your expense transactions.

Once you have reviewed them and confirmed they are all in duplicate records, you can open and delete the duplicate, one at a time. You can also check out the Enter, edit, or delete expenses in QuickBooks Online article to delete the duplicate expenses.
