expenses linked to bank account not credit card

hundreds of expenses entered over three years are incorrectly entered as linked to my bank account, not credit card. So far I have spent over 2 hours taking care of the first 120 in 2018. My accountant says 2015-2017 have to be done or my bank balance will not match up.

 

How can I speed up, or possibly start a new Quickbooks account and ignore the past mistake?

 

The issue occurred with ReceiptBank being set up wrong, and scanned receipts being improperly entered in QB. Please help. I don't want to spend 12 hours more on this.

There are a few things we need to consider before you start a new QBO account, Brian.

 

You can cancel your current QBO subscription if you can retrieve your bank data starting 2015 to present. It's easier to import those transactions on a new account. This way, they'll be automatically linked to the correct credit card account.

 

However, if your bank can't provide the data, you'll have to manually link each transaction to the correct account.

 

I'd also suggest giving us a call. We can check what caused the expenses to be linked to the wrong bank account, and help you further.
