I hope you're having a great Thursday. Since your find feature isn't working, I suggest doing a clean install of the program. This will fix the feature and allow it to start working again. The steps below will guide you on how:
Go to the Finder menu on your Mac and choose Applications.
Drag the QuickBooks icon into the Trash.
Remove PLIST files:
Navigate to the Finder menu, hold down the Option key, and select Library.
Open the Preferences folder, then find the files that contain com.intuit.QuickBooks20XX and move them to the Trash.
Empty the Trash.
Note: you'll want to do the same steps using Macintosh HD from the Finder window to remove the system PLIST.
"Find" feature QB for mac 2019 not working. Please help
Hi Anna S.
Your solution seems to be the most logical. Currently the QB/Mac 2019 file is with QB for repair.
They've had it for 3 weeks now, due the the pandemic close down of services. It is now assigned and I should know about the fine in a coupleof days.
The solution Intuit suggested was to purchase 2020 for mac and that didn't work either. In the meantime the license for 2019 was canceled therefore I cannot do what you suggest unless I purchase a new 2019.
The problems I further encountered is that once I installed 2020 and upgraded 2019 file to 2020 did not happen. Got messages saying the "file cannot be update". Assuming that the file corrupt or has to do with the license not existing anymore for 2019.
I appreciate your suggestions and if QB repair cannot fix. I will have to buy 2019 again and see if this helps.
