Font size of Ending Balance in Pay Bills

I have QB Desktop 2024 and I have noticed that the font size for the "Ending Balance $$$$.$$" is very small. Is there a fix for this or is this a bug that needs to be reported?

Hello there, @EldonZ. The font size of the ending balance is designed to display that way, and there isn’t a way to change its font size.

As an alternative, you can adjust your Windows Display settings to increase the overall scale of QuickBooks. Please keep in mind that this will enlarge all screen font sizes rather than just the specific ending balance. Here’s how to set it up:

Step 1: Adjust QuickBooks Compatibility Settings

  1. Close QuickBooks Desktop.
  2. Open the Windows Start menu.
  3. Type "QuickBooks" into the search. Then right-click the QuickBooks icon and select Open file location.
  4. In the folder, right-click the QuickBooks.exe file and select Properties.
  5. Go to the Compatibility tab.
  6. Select the Disable display scaling on high DPI settings checkbox. You can also select Change high DPI settings and then Override high DPI scaling behavior.
  7. Click Apply and then OK.

For more detailed steps on adjusting your Windows display scale, refer to this article: Fix screen issues in QBDT.

Clark, thanks for responding.

I've attached a screenshot of what I am talking about. You can see that the "Ending Balance" font is considerably smaller than the the other font being used.

I will try your changes but wanted to show you what I was seeing.

Thanks,
Eldon

Clark,

I tried your suggestions to no prevail. First, the EXE is not Quickbooks.exe and the link runs QBW.EXE. Also, there is QBWPro.exe. I did not see an option to "Disable display settings on high DPI settings". There was an option to bring up another dialog box with the "Change high DPI Settings". I went in there and selected "Override high DPI scaling behavior." I set  it to "Scaling performed by Application". I tried both executables and it did not change the programs display.

Later,
Eldon
