For the second time in 2 years I got the 'update your sign-in info' message. What do I need to update. I did things last year but cannot remember which one worked.

For the second time in 2 years I got the 'update your sign-in info' message. What do I need to update. I did things last year but cannot remember which one worked.

Let's figure it out together to ensure your QuickBooks Online (QBO) sign-in information is updated, Grp64.

The "update your sign-in info" message usually appears when there is a change with your login credentials and needs to be updated in QuickBooks.

 

If you've recently changed your password for your Intuit account or associated email, make sure that QuickBooks Online has the updated information. Please follow the steps below to proceed:

 

  1. Sign in to the Intuit Account Manager. Use your sign-in info for QuickBooks Online.
  2. Choose the Sign in & security menu.


     
  3. Select the User ID, Email address, Password, or Phone section.
  4. Make your changes.
  5. When you're done, click Save.

Moreover, if you're using bank feeds and your bank has made changes, you need to update your banking login credentials in QuickBooks. Here's how:

 

  1. Go to the Transactions menu, then Bank transactions
  2. Choose and click on the Edit icon in the top right of the blue tile for the desired account.
  3. Click Edit sign-in info.


     
  4. Enter your Login information and Password
  5. Hit Save and connect.
