I have some information about making your custom invoice as a default template. While there isn't an option to set up a default template, QuickBooks has the ability to remember the last template you're using from the previous transaction. Let me walk you through how.
When you open a new invoice the default template will be the same as your previous invoice transaction. The same goes for your estimate. See the attached screenshot below.
