Join nowHow do I get the sales order date and the invoice date to show up on a billing invoice? The sales order date are sometimes different then the invoice date so I would like them both to show up. Is there a way to get the SO date to generate like the SO numbers do.
Hey there, @kperry.
Thanks for reaching out to Community. I'm happy to assist you with information about the sales order date to show on this invoice.
At this time, there isn't a way that we can pull over the sales order date to the invoice automatically. However, I do have a workaround that you can try out.
The steps will be manual entry and adjusting your invoice template.
Here are the steps:
7. Click OK at the bottom to save your changes.
Now that we have made our changes to the invoice template, we can now manually type in our S.O Date.
That's all there is to it. If you have further questions or concerns, feel free to reach back out anytime. Take care!
Thank you Tori. I had actually did that but was wondering if there was a way to have the date auto fill with whatever date was on the SO. I was going to switch where the "other/sales" date and the invoice date spots where but the invoice date is what genrates the due date.
Hi there, @kperry. Thanks for responding.
At this time, there isn't a way to auto-populate the date from the Sales Order. I'm going to put in feedback to our Development Team to let them know about your concern. You can follow what my colleague @Tori B has suggested as a workaround.
If you have any other questions, please feel free and reach back out.
What is the work around to get the sales order date to auto populate on an invoice? Surely there's a way to do this in Quickbooks desktop.
Thanks,
Candi
Hi there, @Candi2020.
Currently, we're unable to auto-populate the date from the sales order on an invoice as mentioned by my colleague @Ashley H. However, you can follow the workaround suggested by @Tori B.
