Has anyone else been able to get the new Rules feature for mileage tracking to work?

I have tried multiple times, and every time I input the addresses for my rules and try to SAVE the rule, I get an error message and cannot get passed it. Anyone else?

Thanks for posting, prairiedawn70.

We can clear the app's cache. These are junk files which can cause unusual behavior in QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE) Mobile App.

  1. Android
    1. Go to Settings and select Apps.
    2. Choose QuickBooks Self-Employed and click on Storage.
    3. Select Clear Data.
  2. iOS:
    1. Go to Settings and select Setting General iPhone Storage.
    2. Select Offload App.

Also, you'll want to uninstall and reinstall the app. This resolves any data issue that can trigger an error. Let's just make sure to review all your pending trips first. Those will be removed from your account once you've uninstalled it.

These are the link to reinstall it:

Once done, let's go again and recreate the rule. Go to Mileage tab and click on Trip. Under trip details, scroll down and click on Create Rule at the bottom left side of the page.

These will help you to save the rule. Comment again if you need anything else.

Thanks for your help! Hope I don't have to do that regularly, but glad to know it works.

I appreciate doing the steps above, WildPepperIsle.

To investigate this further, I'd recommend reaching out to our Customer Care Team via chat or call.

Here are the steps:

  1. Go to Assistant locate in the upper right-hand corner..
  2. Ask general questions if you want to chat or enter Talk to a human to see the Get a callback option.

Please let me know how it goes. I'm just a post away if you have any additional questions. Take care and stay safe.
