Hello, how do you expose the Transaction ID column in Transaction Detail report? The column is missing. Thanks.

We can make the Transaction ID column appear by customizing the report, @accounting660.

If you're referring to the Transaction Detail by Account report, please ensure that you are using the modern view to add the column. Kindly click the Switch to modern view to use it.

Here's how you can add the Transaction ID column to the report:

  1. Navigate to Reports, then look for the Transaction Detail by Account report.
  2. In the report, click Columns, then select More Columns.
  3. Tick the checkbox of the Transaction ID.

Please refer to the picture below for visual reference after ticking the Transaction ID checkbox.

If you're using another report, please let us know so we can guide you through the steps to make the column appear.

Please know that you can always export your reports outside QuickBooks. You may refer to this article for the process: Save a customized report (Run, export, sync, and print a report).
