Good day, vb18. Thanks for sharing the exact error message when trying to log in to renew your account.

This type of error can be caused by a few common factors. I'll provide some steps to help you log back in and reactivate your subscription.

Start by manually retyping the email address or User ID. Please note that even a single extra space before or after the user ID can cause the system to errors when logging in. You can also try other email address that might have been used when the subscription was initially set up.

If you have multiple QuickBooks Products (like Payroll or QuickBooks Payments), an incorrect User ID might have been typed in. In this case, you can use the Account recovery process to find out the correct login credentials. Here's how:

  1. Follow this link to complete the steps on our sign-in page
  2. Enter your phone number or email address on our sign-in help page.
  3. Choose between Email a code or Enter a password
  4. Check your email for a message with your code. Open your email inbox in a new tab, but don’t close the original tab with the sign-in page.
  5. If you picked the second option, enter the password and follow the instructions we send you to sign in or recover the account.
