How can I connect the bank feed for a credit card that requires text or phone verification in order to login?

My credit card issuer (Barclays) requires confirmation through an email or text verification code in order to login. Unsurprisingly, I suppose, when I try to set up that bank feed with my username/password the login fails. Is there a known work-around for this issue?

How can I connect the bank feed for a credit card that requires text or phone verification in order to login?

Are you encountering any error messages when you attempt to log in to connect your credit card, DFL32? If so, could you please provide them? This information would assist me in better addressing your concerns.

For now, let's double-check that your login credentials are correct and that you are using the accurate URL for your bank when trying to connect your credit card account. If the problem continues, you can reach out to your bank to check if there's any ongoing issues or maintenance operations that could be interfering with your ability to connect.

In the meantime, you have the option to manually upload your transactions. Please note that when your credit card account eventually connects successfully, you may end up with duplicate entries due to the manual uploads. To handle this, you can simply exclude the duplicates.

Here's how to upload your transactions:

  1. Navigate to the Transactions menu, then select Bank Transactions.
  2. Click the Link Account dropdown menu, and choose Upload from File.
  3. Choose Drag and Drop or Select Files, then pick the file you’ve downloaded from your bank, and click Continue.
  4. From the QuickBooks account dropdown, select the account you want to upload the transactions to, and click Continue.
  5. Align the columns in the file with the appropriate fields in QuickBooks, then click Continue.
  6. Select the transactions you wish to import, then click Continue.
  7. Click Yes, then Done.
