How can i contact someone to help me

1. Sign in to your QuickBooks Online company.
2. Select Help (?) at the top right.
3. Select Contact Us to connect with a live support agent.
4. You can either select Call me Back or chat via instant messenger. 

When completed, the next available agent will reach out to you as soon as possible.

I have been trying to get support all morning. QK help does not give me the option to chat and when I call the number it says the only way I can get help is to chat. Very frustrating how do I get help? I just need to get my service key number

I understand the frustration it takes when something isn't working the way it uses to and this isn't the kind of service we want you to experience. 

Due to COVID-19, we have reduced staffing and have limited our support hours to Mondays to Fridays 6 AM to 6 PM PST and Saturdays 6 AM to 2:30 PM PST and some products will only have chat support during this situation. Rest assured, we will resume normal hours as soon as possible.

Allow me to help you get your service key number in QuickBooks. To start with, I just want to clarify what specific QuickBooks payroll product you're using? 

If you're using QuickBooks Online Payroll, you'll no longer need to enter a payroll service to activate the payroll service in your account. You can check out this article for reference on how to set up payroll: Set up payroll in QBO. It also contains a video tutorial for a visual guide.

However, if you're using QuickBooks Desktop Payroll, you'll usually receive the 16-digit service key via email. If not, you can use the automated Service Key Retrieval tool to get one. Just sign in using your Intuit Account credentials.

 Once done, here's how to enter the key:

1. Go to the Employees menu.
2. Choose My Payroll Service, then Manage Service Key.
3. Click Add.
4. Enter the 16-digit number, then click Next.
5. Select Edit if you're using the disk delivery service, and take note of the digit, then:

  a. Remove payroll service key in QuickBooks Desktop.

  b. Go back to Step 3 and 4.

  c. Enter the Disk Delivery Key,

  d. Click Next, then Finish.

6.After that, make sure to restart QuickBooks, and start setting up your payroll service.
