How can I set up new QBO with nonprofit Chart of Accounts?

I do pro bono work with nonprofits.  I have had a couple purchase QBO and I can't figure out the setting to get them the non profit chart of accounts you get when you set up QB desktop for a nonprofit company. Then, I have to delete accounts and upload new.  Can anybody advise?  Thanks

One of my colleagues have added a resolution on how to configure QuickBooks for a non-profit organization. You can follow the steps provided and see if it works for you.


Additionally, you have the option to import your Chart of Accounts in QuickBooks Online. Here's how you can do that:

  1. Click the Gear icon and select Import Data.
  2. Choose Chart of Accounts.
  3. On the Import Accounts window, hit the Browse button.
  4. Find the file the click Open.
  5. Click Next.
  6. Map the fields correctly then pick Next.
  7. Once done, click Import.
