How do I connect our carrier account to ship orders and print shipping labels from QBO?

You need to set up the ShipEngine to be able to connect your carrier account to ship orders and print shipping labels into QuickBooks, nrivera1.

If this is your first time to create a label, you need to add carriers and enter your payment details with our partner, ShipEngine. Let me guide you on how:

  1. Go to the Commerce menu, then select Shipping

  2. Click Buy shipping label and review Intuit’s terms of service, then select Connect.

  3. You can close the next tab and go back if you need to create the shipping label.
  4. Click Yes to confirm.

Then, go back to the Shipping page and add your own carrier. Here's how:

  1. Go to the Shipping menu.
  2. Click the drop down arrow beside Add funds and select Manage carriers.

  3. Review and agree to ShipEngine’s terms and conditions, then select Continue.

  4. Click the Set up later if you have your own carrier accounts.

  5. Click Skip for now, then Connect later to skip ahead.
  6. Select Add more carriers to go to the ShipEngine dashboard.
  7. Choose Add new carrier accounts to connect your carrier account.
  8. Once connected, select Log out or close the window to return to QuickBooks.

Once done, you can create shipping labels and print them directly from QuickBooks. Please note that shipping labels will open in a new browser tab as a PDF. You can adjust the size of the PDF using your web browser or printer settings. Many thermal printers are designed to print labels at 4" x 6", while standard desktop printers typically print labels on 8.5" x 11" paper.
