How do I get my credit card account into the dropdown for doing a bank feed?

I have two bank accounts linked to Quickbooks desktop. I set them up and download those easily as the directions say. However, I have a credit card with the same credit union, and when I set that up I can't. It simply doesn't show up in the drop down. There are lots of other things int he drop down which are irrelevant (like liabilities) but how do I get the credit card account to show up?

Hello there, @Vista,

 

At this time, we're unable to connect multiple customer IDs with the same financial institution in QuickBooks Desktop. QuickBooks allows just one login per FI, thus you'll only be able to set up one login for download, per company file.

All three of my accounts with my FI are under the same login. I am already able to get the two checking accounts to download. The problem with getting the credit card to download is that it doesn’t show up in the dropdown in QuickBooks. I don’t see that it has anything to do with logins to my FI. Can you help me?

Since you're still unable to see the credit card show up in the drop-down for Bank Feed, I'd recommend contacting our Customer Care Team so they can conduct a deeper investigation on why you're unable to see your credit card.

 

Here's how you can reach us:

  1. Click Help at the top menu and select QuickBooks Desktop Help.
  2. In the Have a Question? window, click Contact us.
  3. Enter the details of your concern and click Continue.
  4. Choose how you want to reach them and enter the needed information.​
