We have an easy way to remove the Pay Now link button when sending invoices in QuickBooks Online (QBO), Geoffshive. Let's guide you through the process.
If you're not collecting online payments, we can remove the option for customers to pay online and update your online delivery options. This way, the pay button will not appear when sending customer invoices. Here's how to turn off all payment options for customers:
- Use the Gear icon, then go to Account and settings.
- Access your Sales tab.
- Find the Invoice payments section, then click the Pencil (Edit) icon.
- In the Payment options section, uncheck all the payment methods.
- Tap Save, then press Done.

Then, change the email option for invoices to HML by following the steps below:
- Go back to the Sales tab.
- Choose Online delivery and click the Pencil icon beside it.
- In the Additional email option for invoices section, tap the dropdown button and select HTML.
- Click Save.
- Press Done.
