Welcome to the Community. If you'd want to print the category name on the check, it's currently not available. You'll need to use the pre-printed QuickBooks compatible voucher. If you don't have the voucher, you can purchase it directly from your bank or from us. Please go over this article for more information: Order Checks, Tax Forms, and Other Supplies.
Otherwise, you can enter the category name in the Memo field when creating a check. The notes in that field will show when printing the check.
