How do I print search results

I have QB Desktop Pro 2020. I want to print the results of a search for time entries for a client. I don't want to create an invoice yet. Is there a way to print the search results? Thank you.

How do I print search results

I'll be glad to assist you today, @TomHo.

The option to print the search result is unavailable. However, you can create a report that'll show timesheet data. You can pull up the Time by Name report. This report will include the employee's name, customer name associated with the timesheet, and the total number of hours worked based on the date range you select.

Here's how:

  1. Go to Reports at the top, then select Job, Time & Mileage.
  2. Choose Time by Name.
  3. Tap Customize Report button.
  4. In the Display tab, mark the boxes next to Billed and Unbilled. Then, change the Display time grouped by to Time by Name Only.
  5. Hover towards the Filters tab. Search for Name and then pick All employees from the drop-down.
  6. If you want to search for a specific customer, search Customer: Job and then the customer's name from the drop-down.
  7. Click OK. Just double-click the amount to view the details.

I've attached some screenshots for you.

Additionally, you can print the timesheet by going to File, Print Forms, and then Timesheets.

For details about customizing reports, check out this guide: Customize reports in QuickBooks Desktop.
