Hi, Mon. The only way to remove an incorrect vehicle is by making it inactive. You'll want to start by ensuring it isn't listed as your primary vehicle in QuickBooks. If so, you'll have to reassign another vehicle as primary first, then mark the vehicle you want to remove as no longer in use. This action keeps your records safe while removing that incorrect vehicle from your active list.
You can follow the steps below if you're using a web browser:
- Go to Expenses and select Mileage.
- Select the dropdown next to Add Trip. Then, select Manage vehicles.
- Select the vehicle you want to make inactive. You'll want to make sure it's not designated as primary.
- Select Vehicle no longer in use. This moves the incorrect vehicle to the Inactive section of your Manage vehicles pane.
If you want to do it using your mobile device, you can also refer to these steps:
- Go to Menu, then tap Mileage.
- Select Auto-tracking.
- Tap Vehicles in the Manage Section.
- Choose the vehicle you want to remove.
- Tap I no longer use this vehicle to inactivate it.
- Review the confirmation message, then select Confirm.
The vehicle will now appear under the No longer in use section on your account for reference.
Let me know if there's anything else I can assist you with. Have a good one!
