How do I remove the only vehicle I added to QBSE?

I no longer use any vehicle for my business but cannot find a way to remove the single vehicle previously added (it is the only one in QBSE, now or ever).

How do I remove the only vehicle I added to QBSE?

Hello Klayman. The option to remove a vehicle in QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE) is currently unavailable. This feature is essential for managing your primary vehicle and ensuring that your historical tax data remains protected.

As a workaround, instead of removing the vehicle, you can make it inactive by adding a new dummy vehicle to designate as the primary vehicle. Here's how:

  1. In the Gear icon, select Vehicle Info.
  2. Under the Manage vehicles tab, select Add vehicle.
  3. Enter your vehicle's info and select how you want to record your mileage for the year in the Tax info section.
  4. Hit Save when done.

Next, follow the steps on how to assign a primary vehicle.

Once you have assigned the dummy vehicle as the primary vehicle, you can then make your original vehicle inactive.
