How do I setup up pricing discounts based on quantity?

Hello there, ekeymeulen.

Let me bring clarifications about your concern with setting up price discounts.

The Automatic Discount feature is designed to only accept one price discount on quantity. Your preference about setting up price discounts can be a good suggestion. We'll be taking note of this and we'll be sure to take note of this idea for our product engineers to consider this option in the future.

In the meantime, I encourage you check out our QuickBooks Blog to be updated to the most recent feature enhancements made in QBO.

Also, here are some of our great resources like video tutorials, articles and webinars to be more familiar with QBO's features and function:

Always feel free to drop me a reply below if you have additional questions and I'd be glad to assist you further.

Hi there, @robinpaolotan,

Let's use the Automatic Discounts feature so you can set up a discount on your selected items. This feature allows you to select items and define discount pricing automatically applied to your sorting.

Here's how:

  1. Go to your Inventory menu.
  2. Select Price Manager.
    pricemanager.PNG
  3. Click Set Up Automatic Discount and follow onscreen instruction.

I've also added this article for additional information about QuickBooks POS: QuickBooks POS Customer Resource Center: Videos.

Feel free to update this thread if there's anything else you need with setting up item discounts. I'm always around here in the Intuit Community to help.

But prices changed through this method can only accept one price discount based on qty.

ex. If i input

250 pcs and above @ 90.00

then 100 pcs and above at 95.00;

it will only allow the latest discount adjustment and not apply the former.

I need both discounts to apply. @MaryLandT

How do I setup up pricing discounts based on quantity?

I have a question. If I have more than 400 items and I want to change the price for all of them. There is some configuration to apply the price from 01/01/2021, for example. Because it is difficult to change all the items on the same day.

Hi there, @itorres.

Thank you for joining the thread. I can share with you some information about updating items in QuickBooks Online.

Being able to update the items' prices in a batch is currently unavailable. As a workaround, you need to change the prices one by one. Or, you can look for a compatible third-party application through the app center or from the Apps tab.

  1. Open your QuickBooks Online account.
  2. Click on Apps at the left pane.
  3. Search for an application on the search field.

To learn more about managing products and services or inventory items in QuickBooks, you can open this link: Setting up Inventory in QuickBooks Online.

Also, here's an article you can read more about adding products and services, customers, and vendors to lists.

I'm looking forward to hearing from you again. If you have any other QuickBooks questions, please feel free to add a comment below. Thanks for coming, have a great day!

@itorres

Consider having an inventory management app to do so.

I need to do this too.  I got the latest version of QB POS desktop v19 and was told it would have multiple discounts for one item.  It does not!  It is almost 2021, and it still can't do this.  Why not?
