Unless you were very diligent in entering every transaction over the unreconciled period, the credit card account will likely not reconcile. Pick the date of your most recent statement and enter the statement balance. Mark all transactions. If you are off a small amount, you will need to determine an account to adjust the balance to. Do not select the reconcile now button as QuickBooks will create an expense account called Reconciliation Discrepancies. If the difference is great, you will need to do some research and make the adjustment in the current year unless you want to amend prior years' tax returns.
