Join nowI turned off auto updates but Intuit is still posting notices within my desktop account. Is there any way to stop Intuit from ever accessing my desktop again? I do not want Intuit accessing my private financial data.

I don't think they are, unless you gave them permission to. They're likely just pushing marketing junk down to your computer/QuickBooks installation.

I don't doubt they probably aren't really interested in digging thru my financial data. As you say, it's about marketing notifications. I chatted with Intuit about it and discovered there is no possible way to keep them from being able to access your data. I have a standalone desktop version of Quickbooks with no need for it to ever access the internet, no need for Intuit updates, no need for banking, etc. So I assumed it was completely private, but it turns out that Intuit visits my private installation pretty much every day. Maybe everybody else knows that and thinks it's ok, but not me. Thanks for replying though.
