Re: How do you edit and re print a w-2. I had a social security number off

Let's correct the Social Security number first, nickgragert.

To do this on your QBO Payroll account, you have to delete the entire number and re-type the correct SSN. You can go to the employee's profile, edit the SSN, and then reprint the W-2 form.

Here's how:

  1. Click Workers on the left panel.
  2. Select Employees.
  3. Select the employee's name on the list.
  4. Click the Pencil icon beside Pay.
  5. Go to the What are (employee's name) wittholdings? section, and then click the Pencil icon.
  6. Reenter the correct SSN in the box provided for.
  7. Click Done.

Please let me know if you need more help with this. Thanks for dropping by.

If you've already filed it, you need to submit W-2c, and of course W-3c.
