How to access transaction history for an individual customer

There are two methods to check customer transactions in QuickBooks Solopreneur: we can generate a Profit and Loss by Customer report or the Transaction list under the Customer menu. Below, I’ll outline the steps for each method, Sgfequine.

Here's how we can check your customer transaction history through the Customer Menu:

  1. Navigate to the Customers and Goals menu.
  2. Select the customer whose transactions you wish to review.
  3. In the Transaction List, you can apply filters for Type, Status, and Date to see the specific information you need.

We can also generate the Profit and Loss report by Customer. Here’s how:

  1. Click on the Reports menu in the left sidebar.
  2. Select the Profit and Loss by Customer report.
  3. From the Report Period dropdown, choose All Dates to include the most recent transactions.

  4. Click on any transaction within the report to access the Transaction Report, which provides a comprehensive view of all transactions associated with that customer.

Additionally, you can refer to this article to learn how to run and personalize the report to display the information relevant to your business. Please note that this article is specifically for QuickBooks Online; however, the processes and steps outlined will also apply to QuickBooks Solopreneur: Customize Reports in QuickBooks Online.

Moreover, once the report is generated, you can export it to Excel directly from QuickBooks.

If you have any additional questions about the transaction history for your customers or any other product-related concerns. I am here to assist you further. Enjoy the rest of your day!
