How to get my quickbooks to open

Every time I attempt to open a different company file, I get this barrage of changing passwords and get so confused then I'm locked out and cannot even open the **********program.

How to get my quickbooks to open

Once an account's locked out, you'll have to reset its password to access it again. You can use our Automated Password Reset Tool to accomplish this.

Here's how:

  1. Download a copy.
  2. Choose your version of QuickBooks.
  3. Enter the appropriate license number and business information.If you receive a "the details you've provided didn't match" message, sign in to your Customer Account Management Portal (CAMPs) and confirm the following info is accurate:

             • Authorized user's name & email address

             • ​​​​​​​Phone number

             • License number

             • Primary Mailing address
    If there's any inaccurate details, they can be updated in CAMPs.

  4. Accept our license agreement. After accepting, the password reset tool will try to download automatically. If your download doesn't begin, click Download now.
  5. Run the Automated Password Reset Tool and enter your token number (tokens are sent via email).
  6. Use your QuickBooks Desktop Products drop-down menu to pick the relevant version.
  7. Hit Browse for Company File and elect which one you're working with.
  8. Input your Company File Admin User Name, if it isn't "Admin".
  9. Enter a New Password, press Confirm New Password, then select Reset Password. This will be a temporary one. Once you've successfully accessed your company with it, you'll be asked to create an official password.

Now you can log in using the new password.
