how to insert blue box back into body of email?

Thank you for getting back to us and providing us with a screenshot, @Jacquef.

That helps us verify the blue box that you’re referring to.

With the latest features and fixes in QuickBooks Desktop, the blue box in the body of the email is already unavailable. You can only customize the fields in the body of the email as mentioned by my colleague.

I can totally see how the blue box improves the look of your email that you send to your customers, so I’ll be sure to take note of it.

You can check this article for more information on how to create custom email templates in QuickBooks Desktop.

I’ll also invite you to visit the Firm of the Future site. It contains resources and tips to help easily use QuickBooks.

Please let me know if you need further help with your template. I'm always here to help.

how to insert blue box back into body of email?

Hello @Jacquef,

Currently, QuickBooks will only insert fields in the body of your email. Here are the following:

  • Name-First-Last
  • Name-Last-First
  • Name-First
  • <Mr./Miss/Ms.> Name-Last
  • Company-Name
  • Company-Telephone
  • Company-Website
  • Due-Date
  • Transaction-Number
  • Transaction-Total

Here's how to insert them on the body of your email:

  1. Go to Edit, then Preferences.
  2. Choose Send Forms, then Company Preferences.
  3. Select the Current Default template, then Edit.
  4. Click the Insert Field drop-down and then the field you want to insert.
  5. Hit Save. Please see attached screenshots below.

You can learn about changing preferences by pressing F1 on your keyboard, then type "Change preferences for sending forms" in the search field.

Please know if you're referring to something else or if you have other questions or concerns. I'll be around to assist you. Thanks for joining us today and I wish you have a good one.
