How to modify the banking screen to show separate columns for Deposits and spent amounts? It used to. Now shows all transactions in the amount column. How to change?

Hi kathleen-steffee,

The deposits and spent amounts are only shown in the For Review tab. On the other hand, all transactions in the amount column appear in the In QuickBooks tab.

However, the option to change or add columns in the In QuickBooks tab is currently not available. I recommend sending us you feedback about this feature.

I'm here to help you if you have further questions.

I would like to have "class" column in the bank deposit screen in Quickbook pro 2020.  Quickbook pro 2016 had that feature. Why not in 2020 ?

Why there is no "Class" column in Quickbook pro 2020?  2016 edition had that column.

I can walk you through how to add the class column in your bank feeds, @SKG21.

You'll have to turn on class tracking from the preferences, so you can see it on your bank feed center.

Here's how.

  1. Go to Edit, the Preferences.
  2. Select Accounting from the left navigation menu. Then, the Company Preferences tab.
  3. Mark the box next to Use class tracking for transactions. See attach image below.
  4. Hit OK.

You can learn about setting up class tracking at this link: Set up and use class tracking in QuickBooks Desktop.

I've also added this article about generating reports across multiple classes which I'm sure you'll find helpful. The details were outlined in the report to make it easier for you to filter, sort, or total reports by class.

I'll be around if you have other questions or concerns. Feel welcome to visit us anytime. Thanks for reaching out to us today and I wish you have a nice weekend ahead.
