Join nowWithout deleting a credit card entry and reentering it in petty cash, is there a way to move the expence from one to the other? The expence has already been billed out. While reconciling I realised I entered it as a credit card purchase, instead of petty cash.

You don't have to delete it, Bill.
We can create a journal entry so we can transfer the expense transaction from your credit card to your petty cash. From the Company menu, click on Make General Journal Entries. Then, debit your credit card account and credit your petty cash. Also, you can ask some guidance from your accountant when creating a journal entry.
