How to print a Bill of Lading

Using Enterprise 19 with advanced inventory, how do we print a bill of lading?

Good day, @Mary_9,

I can give you the steps to print Bill of Lading or Packing Slips in QuickBooks Desktop.

You can do this by opening a specific sales order and updating the packing slip template manually. Perform the steps below:

Click on the Customers tab, then select Customer Center.
Tap the Transactions tab found at the left section of the Customer's page.
Go to the Sales Orders menu.
Double-click the sales order you want to print the packing slip for.
Once you open the transaction, update the Template field and select Intuit S.O. Packing Slip.
Press the Print icon or click on the Print Later box if you opt to print it at a later time.
When your done, re-select your S.O. template from the drop down list.

This solution does not work. A packing slip does not contain the information needed on a bill of lading.

We will create a modified template and see if we can get all the information we need.

Printing a bill of lading is unavailable. However, you can customize your template to add the shipping information or check for a third-party application to print it. Let me walk you through how to modify your template.

Click Lists.
Click Templates.
Double-click your template and then click Edit Template.
Click the Additional Customization button to add a Columns.
Click the Layout Designer button to add a Text Box, Data Field, or Image.
Click OK. Then, OK to close the Basic Customization window.
