How to set up my quickbooks desk top for mac

Hello,

Can anyone advise me on how to set up my quickbooks for my business. I flip properties. Purchase them,

rehab, paying tradespeople- plumber, etc. building costs, etc.. My accountant requested I get quickbooks, he didn't tell me if I got it for Mac, he couldn't help me... So yes, I have it on my Mac and have no idea.

I did "set" up my account as a contractor with my company LLC name.

Do I list each property as a customer??? I am new to quickbooks and new to this crazy mac Book.

Help please!!!

Not to worry, I'm here to help you get started with your QuickBooks Desktop for Mac, @LoriB4.

You can create an asset account to track the current value and depreciation of your property or the things that your company owns. I'll guide you how.

  1. Go to the Lists menu.
  2. Select Chart of Accounts.

  3. Select the Account drop-down at the bottom, then choose New to create a new account.
  4. Select an asset account type, then Continue.
  5. Enter the account details.
    • Select the Subaccount of checkbox if it's a child account.
    • From the drop-down, choose the parent account.
  6. Select Save & Close.
