Join nowHello Community,
I converted from desktop to OnLine. I have many check templates [memorized checks]. I found the check template and want to enter it but QB only lets me edit the template. The check has multiple line items and saved me many hours.
Thanks for the help
Dave
You will have to re-create the check from QB Desktop in QBO. Start with Add New> Check. When it is as you want it, click Memorize (probably hidden in More at the bottom of the screen. You can save this to automatically enter or to remind you to enter, or save it with zero dollar amounts and pull it up every time you need to make a new one.
What you refer to as templates in desktop were only templates as you envision them. What you were viewing in Online is actual template of printed check and how it is laid out, I believe.
And, FWIW, memorized transactions DO NOT import when you convert from desktop to online
Good day john-pero,
Well i did create a new check like you suggested. Without scheduling it, how do I use it (pull it up)? When I click it, it only lets me edit the 'template'.
Thank you
Dave
OK i found it. Maybe there is a better way of getting here.
1. I go to Accounting ->>Chart of Accounts.
2. Upper left under Chart of Accounts click on All Lists.
3. Click Recurring Transactions.
4. Look for the Check you want to Use.
Pictures say a thousand words...

5. Under Action click one of the options Edit, Use, Duplicate, or Delete.
