Let me walk you through in cancelling your duplicate account and in sending a refund request.

 

You can easily login to your QuickBooks account and check its company ID. Once you've located the company ID of the duplicate account, you can proceed to the cancellation process. Here's how:

  1. Log in to your QuickBooks Online account.
  2. Once opened, go directly to the Gear icon. 
  3. Click Account and Settings under Your Company.
  4. Select the Billing and Subscription tab, you'll see your company ID from there.

Once verified, you can now start the cancellation process and request for a refund. 

  1. From the left menu, click Billing & Subscription.
  2. Under QuickBooks Online, click Cancel subscription.
  3. Choose Continue to cancel.
    • ​​​​​​​If asked, select Continue to cancel again. 
  4. Select a cancel reason and click Return Product/Duplicate .
  5. Wait for the confirmation that the product return was submitted successfully.
  6. An email will be sent to you as your refund is processed.
  7. Click Submit and cancel subscription.
  8. Select Got it.

Since the Community page is a peer-to-peer forum, I'd recommend contacting our Customer Care team. A specialist can securely access your account and verify the status of your account. Also, they can assist you processing your full refund request. Here's how to contact us:

  1. Sign in to your QuickBooks Online (QBO) account.
  2. Go to the (?) Help icon.
  3. Choose the Talk to a human option (type it again if prompted).
  4. Enter I still need a human.
  5. Click Contact us.
  6. Then, select either Send a message (if you prefer to chat) or Get a callback2.JPG
