I added my external bank account to my quickbooks and I tried moving some money from the account to my quickbooks checking, but unfortunately, it didn’t go through. Help.

You're in the right place for assistance, Sumxsbruce. I can help transfer money from your internal bank to your QuickBooks Checking account.

Before anything else, is there any specific error message displayed when you attempt to transfer money to your QuickBooks checking account? Knowing this would help us respond accordingly.

Moreover, it's noteworthy that you can transfer up to $20,000 per day into your QuickBooks Checking account - with a maximum of up to $40,000 every 7 days. If your attempted transfer exceeds your daily limit, that is why your transaction didn't go through.

Furthermore, a verified bank account with QuickBooks is essential when transferring funds between accounts. To transfer funds smoothly and securely, I'll outline the steps below on connecting and verifying an external bank with your Quickbooks Checking account:

  1. Go to Lending & banking, then hit QuickBooks Checking.
  2. Click the Transfer option and then Transfer money.
  3. Choose Add a bank, and enter your bank name.
  4. Select account type and enter your account and routing number.
  5. Hit Next to connect.

Once done, QuickBooks will send two small deposits to the account within three business days. Once you see it in your external bank account, follow the steps below to verify the transactions.

  1. Log in to QuickBooks and go to Lending & banking.
  2. Select QuickBooks Checking and click Verify bank.
  3. Enter the two amounts deposited by QuickBooks.
  4. Hit Confirm.

Some banks don't require verification. In this case, you can connect your bank by selecting Add. Once your bank account is verified, transfer funds from your bank account to QuickBooks Checking again.
